LIGHTSHIP TULSA

LIGHTSHIP IS WORKING TO REVITALIZE BLACK WALL STREET

Lightship Foundation bridges the gap between high-growth startups and remarkable entrepreneurs through talent development, effective programming, and capital investments.

WELCOME TO TULSA

Situated quite literally in the middle of the country with a thriving population of over 400,000, there are so many reasons for any business to invest and engage with Tulsa. Its location makes Tulsa one of the most desirable test markets in the nation, drawing companies like Procter & Gamble, McDonald’s, and many other global brands to regularly roll out new products here.

Yet, when we talk about our work in Tulsa, for Lightship it’s really the “why”, for us. The city’s history of Black excellence is palpable and very present in the new generation of ecosystem leaders who are so dedicated to rebuilding Tulsa’s Founder of Color (FOC) led innovation economy and reputation as a national leader in Black wealth creation.

Lightship is partnered with multiple organizations in Tulsa to realize this revitalization, including:

Build in Tulsa

A nonprofit raising $200 million over the next 10 years to import investment accelerators, provide follow-on funding resources, offer stipends for entrepreneurs willing to relocate to Tulsa, and create STEM education programs for Black Tulsa residents.
